Purpose and goals.

The website’s purpose is to create a space where prospective employers can see previous work done. The goal is to create a website that answers any prospective employer’s question about my work experience and projects. With this in mind, the audience for this website will be potential employers or individuals interested in my work. The website will include an “about me” section with information on my career path and educational background. Within this section, there will be a sub-section titled “Assignment notes” with background information on the making of the website. It will also include a project section in which all previous projects will be displayed with some description. It will also consist of a contact section with my contact information so potential clients/employers can contact me. Lastly, it will include a section titled Assignment Notes, which will provide the rationale for the hosting provider chosen. This aligns with my career goals, giving potential employers a better and deeper view of my skills. The final product will be made on WordPress and hosted on Orange Host. Orange Host was chosen due to its affordable pricing, compatibility with WordPress, free one-year domain and fast setup and activation.

Hosting provider selection rationale.

The hosting provider I chose was Orangehost. I chose it specifically for two main reasons. First, it has affordable web hosting plans. Since i plan to have the website for a long time it was important to find an affordable web hosting plan. Second, the micro plan I chose has a number of essential components that I felt I would need in building the website, such as the SSL certificate, free domain name, live malware protection, automatic backups and instant setup and activation.
